Little Paradise 2020 installation
duration: variable sound: silent
As the global situation changes during a coronavirus pandemic as well as counterbalancing the threat images of climate change, it feels good to imagine an ideal country of happiness. A place that exists in the imagination, but is always out of reach. A little too far and always somewhere behind some obstacle. The concept of paradise is often a unifying factor in different cultures and through the ages people have created images of paradise in both different religions and art. The Little Paradise installation builds a peek glimpse of an ample and harmless paradise. The structure of the work is based on the camera obscura phenomenon. The Alfred Kordelin Foundation has supported the implementation of the work.
