Salt, Dust & Us refers, in its title, to shared space and coexistence, while also drawing attention to material layers and traces. In my works, the gaze is directed toward everyday materials—often those that remain outside the camera’s frame—such as dust and salt. I have photographed these ordinary materials in the studio under UV light, without any digital manipulation. The unusual lighting and experimental approach transform the depicted matter into spatial landscapes and realms of free association. The video work features time-lapse footage of sea salt crystallization, captured under UV light.
